The Lutheran Church Women(LCW)

A group of active women committed to their mission statement: "as a Christ centered community of women ... committed to nurturing our faith and spiritual strength to enable us to be people of God in mission".

What we do:

Meetings are held the second Wednesday of the month at 1 pm except in July and August. These are times for exploring topics based on scripture. Light refreshments end the sessions along with good conversation.

The Quilting Group meets each Thursday morning from 9 to 12 January to May in the church basement to assemble adult and children's quilts plus baby layettes and school kits. 

We organize a variety of social events for the congregation throughout the year including:

• Everybody's Birthday party (each month is represented by a decorated table for attendees)
• Afternoon Fall Tea, Bake & Craft Sale in the church basement. Admission by donation with money going to community charitable project. Activities include tea/coffee and goodies with door prizes, bake sale, White Elephant table and craft table.
• Advent Pot Luck Lunch to begin the Advent season
